Karen Pugh

Karen Pugh’s family have set up a tribute fund to honour her memory. Following her battle against breast cancer, Karen sadly passed away on March 3rd 2005.

Karen’s sister Debbie wrote a beautiful letter to her “big sister”, who “was always looking out for me, and made sure I felt safe.”

Karen was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time as their mother was dying of the disease, and “you faced it with grit and determination.”

As the disease returned for a second and ultimately final time, Karen made cards and gifts to raise funds for the Campaign’s fight, “You were such a kind and loving person who always thought of other people even when you were ill.”

Friends and family have continued to add to the money already made from Karen’s work in order to support the groundbreaking research into breast cancer at the J K Douglas Laboratories.

All donations given in Karen’s memory will be used specifically to help fund the research into breast cancer taking place in the J.K.Douglas Laboratories.

To donate to the research into breast cancer at CCRT please print off and return the donation form marking it “Karen Pugh Tribute Fund” to the Appeals Office.

Total to date raised in Karen’s memory: £12,651.68

If you would like to give to any of the Tribute Funds, print out and complete our donation form.
